Dr Bela Sethi Award of Excellence in Physical Therapy
On Dr. Bela Sethi’s 80th birth anniversary,
we announce the initiation of the
‘Dr. Bela Sethi Award of Excellence’.
Dr. Bela Sethi embodied a selfless discipline and dedication throughout her career. Her legacy lives on through the countless number of lives she touched, as a doctor and as a mentor.
The Dr. Bela Sethi Award of Excellence will be an annual scholarship that will pay the final year fee for a physical therapy student. The first award will be towards the academic year 2027-2028, and nominations for this will be accepted between 1st March 2027- 30th April 2027.
We invite the Head of Department of Physical Therapy in any recognised physical therapy college in India, to nominate a maximum of one student per college, for this award.
Based on nominations received, the SNRC committee will shortlist up to 5 candidates for an interview with an interview panel. The selected candidate will be presented the award at the annual Bela Sethi Memorial Lecture to be held in July each year (Inaugural Lecture July 2027). Details of the award, the eligibility criteria and selection process and timeline will be updated on our website.
Please accept this as a formal announcement and invitation to nominate a student, currently in third year, and who you deem to be a student with a dedication to continue the growth of the profession.
